Nothing to do with fashion.

Honestly. It has no relivance. But the instructor of this funk class makes me so incredibly happy.

Now SHE is loving life.

Hopefully she has made you smile to and you can forgive me for completely luring you into a false sense of security in my persuit of fashion happiness.

This is just happiness.

But for the woman in the video... its elation.

The haunting of Halloween

I have a big appreciation for Halloween.

Other than it being the only night of the year its possible to get away with dressing like an absolute tart (WAHEEEEY - clearly we need more festivities under these terms)

It is infact my favourite holiday of the year. Closely followed by New Years Eve.

Then maybe christmas...

I dunno, christmas is too much for me to handle these days. I worked in retail for 5 years and listening to the Christina Aguilera christmas party on repeat for 3 months starts to make you feel marginally suicidal.

It's definately set me up and scarred me for life.

Which is why I love New Years Eve ... what a fantastic antidote to all that christmas cheer! *yup - I officially get the Grinch award hey*

anyway this whole going off on a tangent in every post seems to be my trademark so why dont I get back on track right about now

YES!

HALLOWEEEEEEN!!!

loves it.

dont really know why. I guess its just so fun, unless you get kids egging your house and giftwrapping it in toilet paper.

and so because I cant really offer you anymore than that in terms of why I think it was a genius idea to invent a night just for the schpooks I have some pictures. Tim Walker for Harpers because ya know, I  talk about fashion sometimes where this blog is concerned.

AND listen to Dead Mans Bones whilst reading this. They make beautiful haunting music and are var var talented.

WAIT -

 stop scrolling.

have you got the music ready?

No seriously. Have you?

Ok here goes:

Flight of Infusion

If I'm Mystic Meg this is my prediction...

Thursday 27 October 2011

Cant stop playing.

Had a real hot date with Photoshop this evening.

Trending

I just made this for fun.

Not to hand in as a project.

For fun.

Because I'm really cool.

Well , I do need to make some of these for a trend package - I cant be bothered to explain trend packages but they are super cool and are basically heaps of mood boards put together to make a , well, really BIG mood. Like a theme.

aka A TREND.

(hence trend package)

I started, and like most things in my life went off on a tangent.

Ended up looking more 'Ethereal Distortion' than 'The Flight of Infusion'

*back to the drawing board...*

super 8 completely kate fashion

For quips about Super 8 see post before. Okay. Cool.

OH ...By the way this is nice isn't it?

Super 8

Making my next move into the realms of Super 8.

Vintage being all the rage and that (gotta say after writing a thesis about whether or not vintage fashion will still be around in a few years is making me hope it wont be. Just because.)

Yep, anyway - tangent.

Back to Super 8 . ^THIS is a super 8 film.

Wouldnt say its super. But its the kind of thing I'm heading towards in the next couple of months.

Got a few ideas whizzing.

ACTUALLY (-brace yourself, another tangent) if we're going down the route of super 8 I'll tell yous a story - was thinking about shooting some cutesy cutesy 'oooo look at me flouncing around a garden pretending i dont want to be filmed but oh go on then' kinda fashion filmy stuff. With Super 8. Ofcourse.

Unless you have the equipment for all the fiiiiiiiiiiillm and projeeeectooooors and recording stuuufffff (very. technical. terms)

its pricey. could probably buy an island off the coast of Tahiti

(mmmmmmm Tahiti).

Im joking.

clearly.

not about the idea of Tahiti but yeah its pretty expensive if your just doing super 8 as a hobby.

UNTILLLLLLLLLLLLL

dummm da da dummmmmmm -

*in words of man from iPhone ad* 'Theres an app for that to!'

oh hell yes.

I might post some more super 8. Because its priiiiiidy and naaaice.

The November Issue

This is what happened on Friday.

Well some of it.

Decided against taking shots of all the backstage champagne and caviar.

...because I would be lying. We drank BEER and we ate PIZZA.

What can I say... at Mayhem! magazine we believe fashion = being glutty. Its the new thing. All the rage. ALLLLL the RAAAAAGE DAAAAHLING.

WGSN

I can't get enough of it.

Someone invest in a subscription for my personal use.

Please.

That is all.

Wednesday 12 October 2011

My relationship with 'On the Rocks' is far from on the rocks.

In prep for our 6 page fashion feature for Novembers issue of Mayhem! magazine

WAIT. Oneee moment...
If you didn't get Octobers issue you are silly. Because its free. And scattered all over Southsea. Naughty you. Make sure you get the next issue tut tut...

INFACT you would be stupid to miss out because in the back theres TONs of discount vouchers for various places all over the city. So yeah. You really are very silly for not being eager enough on issue #1.

For those of you who did get issue #1... good for you, I hope you took advantage of all the offers.

ANYWAY...

As a sneaky little peak I popped by Albert Road boutique 'On The Rocks' , had a lovely afternoon with owner Stacey sorting through outfits of the latest goodies shes got going on.

(Even made a cheeky purchase on a denim shirt that fits like a dream. Its too good. I can't bare it to be in the laundry basket.)

The Lovestruck range is A) a bargain B) super cute and C) also stocked at Topshop Oxford Circus

So basically , you should all get down there and spend ya cash.

PICTURE TIME!

Perving.

My advertures of far off lands is over for another year.

(wheres the noose...? Anyone?)

As I walk besides the pale overweight bodies, receding hair lines and beards (and thats just the women) I am constantly reminded that I left latino land full of tanned pouty gods and goddesses for ...well ...

pale overweight bodies, receeding hair lines and beards.

Remind me why is it that when I travel people are jelous of my English heritage?

I mean if we are talking statistically (thats right... I'm getting my maths on) I'd say of all the perving I was doing over summer 70% of everything that got tangled up in my vision was pure eye candy. UK , you gotta start pulling out the big guns or atleast tell me where the perving material is hiding because I'd give it a 20% of my radar.

Thats being generous - I just deleted 10 and put 20 because I felt bad. So now you know.

Perving is definately a hobby that starts to become natural. Maybe its me? Maybe I have a problem.

The term perving defo feels a bit wrong... and Ive just typed it in excess of about 100 times already (exageration obvs)

But perving is fo sho an acceptable form of communication by all latin standards.

What a great way to live.

*hmmmm...I wonder how David Cameron would feel about introdcing it as a social occupation...*

The mind boogles.

And so to conclude with this post I will give you some Hollywood man candy for said 'perving'.... whilst perving tis important to tilt head to one side, pout, and nod in manner of 'you.are.hot'

I cannot be held responsible for dribbling. Which if you are means you are doing it wrong. That would come under lusting. And lusting could be described as pathetic. Which in relation to perving. Is.

Whats that I hear you thinking?... This is suppose to be a STYLE blog , not a PERVERTS blog?

Well... Here are some of my favs hollywood men wearing some of my favs hollywood red carpet designers

-there ya go. a nice blag. tied that in quite nicely.
