A very belated happy new year to you.
Christmas seems like 6 months ago now and I wish January and all its blues would go away at double speed.
You know like on a DVD player where you can speed up fast forward and it shows you a whole movie in like , 5 minutes?... thats how I feel about January.
Dissertation due (shit)
Proposal for my final major project at university still pending in thought let alone on microsoft word (double shit)
Its all a bit.
Shit.
Along with my new years resolutions thinning out at the rate of anorexia I'm suprised im not on anti depressants.
aha JOKING.
all jokes aside ...
WHO is not LOVING channel 4's new series of 'New Girl' with Zooey Deschanel?!?!?!?!?!?!
ahhh perfect antidote to January blues in my opinion. Not that anyone ever asks for it. You got told it when you click the link.
So because I get a bit bored of blogging now and then (most of the time) but I really feel it might help me to stay on track sometimes (most of the time)
I have vowed to do something ATLEAST every Sunday with this blog I've kept going on and off for two years... for your entertainment rather than you actually learning anything about fashion.
Because what else have you got better to do, theres nothing good on the box and thats primary source info right there because I've scoured whats on TV magazine.
(apart from tonight because 500 days of Summer is on but , ya know, whatevs and all that)
AND Sunday tis the HOLY day so lets take it , rebrand it and call it the HOLY-shit-this-woman-has-good-clothes-day.
And today is dedicated to ... ZOOEY DESCHANEL (for obvious reasons because its impossible to avoid her right now. and shes funny. and quirky. and I just want to be her... 'whooos that giiirl ITS JESS.'
Ingredients:
You will need:
dark brown hair (if you dont have it. dye it. obvs)

Published.
If I haven't rammed it down your throat enough already , the spread I styled for the November Issue of Mayhem! Magazine.
We just shot the christmas spread with some pretty hidious christmas jumpers which will obviously be a massive sell out. Only you can make that happen though. December Issue will be out ... well, at the start of December (obviously)?
And then christmas will be here.
And there will be no more blog posts for a while.
Because I will be far too busy getting fat on chocolate coins and drinking copious amounts limited edition christmas inspired throat burning cheap alcohol.
Probably.
If not definitely.

Catwalk
Mixing it up a bit.
Sometimes I DO leave the studio and do other things... like make up.
For catwalk shows.

celebs on a boat.
A day in the life...of
well, me?
I dont think that sounds very good. But there is no other way of putting it.
Not to get your hopes in thinking my day to day life is exciting. (Its not. Yet.)
But yesterday marked an exerpience that is building on hopefully better things to come.
A. Celebrity. Event.
and I do love a bit of celeb schmoozing. Not that I've ever done it before but isnt that the dream of an avid Heat/ Closer/ Look reader?
I started writing this post like a diary and then realised how gay I sounded so instead I'm going to write all the bits you might actually want to read rather than bragging about the mundane.
Arrive at the Illamasqua flagshop store around 9.30. I'm late. Great start. But its fine the models (who were incidently very quiet and so boring I might have forgotten they were there had they not been so tall and wearing see-through dresses)
are still in hair and make up.
Once we're done some of us black cab it , some tube it to the boat where we find a place to finish off any styling ready for the live shoot on the top deck.
Top deck is very rocky. Note to self : lower heels might have been a better idea.
Everyones yapping on about Danni Minogue and how isnt it just FABULOUS DAAAAARHLING that shes got this doctorate of style award thingy.
Yes. It is. But I cant stop thinking ,
CHRIST SHE LOOKS OLD IN REAL LIFE.
And skinnier.
I should have had a good look at her plate during the lunch to see if she was actually eating.
But, also - she is actually very very pretty with piercing blue eyes (but Danni seriously what was going on with your hair? It makes you look like a man.) BUT HER SHOES WERE LAAARVLY - I have some pictures (see below)
Had a bit of a chat with her about body confidence and style and blah blah blah all that and then she started telling me about one of her best friends Gok and how hes an advocate of body confidence (I love how she refered to him as her friend Gok as if we wouldnt know who Gok Wan is hahaha oh Danni you babe. )
Found the author Kathy Lette prancing around being very 'lets do lunch, my people. your people yepyepyep mwah dahling mwah.'
Felt the need to corner her and tell her I'd read her book 'The Llama Parlour' when I was 12 to which she replied 'sweety, you must have had a very new age mother' ... 'No. I would just hide it under my matress'
Then Kathy Lette started getting all celebrity fakey.
I got bored and walked off.
Very disappointing meeting someone you admire and realising they're a total twat.
JO BLOODY ELVIN WAS THERE - editor of Glamour Magazine.
(looking much taller than I had imagined)
Had i knocked back a few champagne bottles I might have had the confidence to talk to her but was far too in ore of her fashion status to do anything about it.
If there is a next time? Maybe...
The rest is boring, moved the fashion shoot downstairs into this funky old library where we weren't allowed to touch anything or it might crumple and DIE.
Eventually when I see the outcome of that I'll post it but for now heres a few snaps I took on my phone.
PS - well done for making it to the end of this post. I know its kinda long.

What a load of the S word.
If I were to tell you I'd been attached to my phone all day that wouldnt really be too much of a shocker.
Today marks the first in an incredibly jam packed week of all things stylish/ styled / styling ... and all other kinds of word that start with style.
This week is particularly exciting in terms of emulating a certain Lauren Conrad'ness to my life as I've been asked to collaborate on a STYLE event (theres that S word again) for none other than DANNI FRICKIN MINOGUE.
IF it turns into a family affair and Kylie turns up I will just die.
I have visions of us doing a conga style locomotion after the champers has been a flowin.
Wouldn't that be great.
OH it so would.
This post isnt really going anywhere. Its mainly to gloat about my working week in comparison to the mundane 9-5 followed by a few pictures of Danni Minogue in all her stylish (S word again) glory.
