well colour me happy theres a sofa in here for two!

the title of this blog post bares no real significance to what I'm going to talk about - but if you can guess what quote it is and from which film I may fall in love with you *answers on a postcard*

(talking of films have you watched the ones I told you about in the last post? best have.)

nono , well - title sort of does mean SOMETHING because I am going to talk about the vibrant shizz going down on the catwalks so far

oh man, I am a happy bunny that colour is coming back (I knew there was good reason to hoard a few cocktail dresses)

ta daaaaaaaaa

if 'interpretting narrative' was a boyfriend then yesterday marks a day when that relationship has officially come to an end.

Here is my interpretation of 'Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit'

if your name is on the poster... lucky you ! (i picked you because you were on my recent call/text list.)

talking of movies lets get personal - two of my favourites are below - watch them,

It will make you think,
It will make you feel,
You'll fall in love with Vienna by Night
And Paris by day
But above all it will make you fall in love with falling in love.

And if it doesn't make you feel any of these things, not even one... you need help.

Bosworth fluent in Burberry Bull***t

big HYPE for Burberry at LFW - collection seems to be going down a treat with the critics but my interest lies more within the interviews Kate Bosworth has been giving. Something about when she sits down in THIS >>>>>>>>>>>

its suprisingly comfortable, you can't even feel the studs. Or something like that.

PER-leaseeeee you may be an actress but you can't fool me Kate babes - thats got to be like designer acupuncture for your derriere? I think somebody has been reading from the Burberry PR briefing scripts...

you scratch my back i'll scratch yours...

I'm not usually a fan of putting out my unedited work via the internet for the whole world to see but on this occasion (oh alright then)

Time to tell you a bit about whats going down at university these days - the task of interpreting narrative as a stylist, which although I'm finding pretty easy because my daydreamer imagination is allowed to take hold of me, is kind of restricting fashion wise.

Never the less of the 6 books I could have picked I ended up reading Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson, the BBC did it no justice in the 90's with a run down depressing take on the suprisingly funny kinda biopic of Wintersons life growing up in a hardcore christian cult in the late 60's sooooo... I've changed the mood of the story completely

(aha - up yours BBC)

taking it down the kitsch route instead! HURRAH FOR MWAAARRR!
so yeah, like said, a work in progress but loving the orange nylon ...

And since my model was so patient putting up with my quirky needs (poor girl) I gave her a bit of studio time in return - amazing how hair, make up and styling can transform !

its a seventies sweep stake

I have been AWOL for the past few days getting upto date on technology - iPhone has only just entered my life and I am on it like sonic.
Style.com app has been kind enough to let me preview all of the pre fall shiz in beautiful HD and can tell you now I am a happy little chappy to see that the 70's will be staying with us for more than one season (subject to the A/W fashion weeks which I'm still very eager beaver for, but meh - if pre fall says 70's thats the way we're going right?)

WOOOOOOO

SO. Here are some of my top tips to survive S/S AND A/W without blowing the budget -

Lee Stafford Poker Straight Sleepover Conditioner - speaking as an (un)natural blonde this stuff was like a little piece of hair heaven when I was at my most peroxided. 70's hair needs to be shiney silky clean and here is the answer - leave it in overnight and let it do its thaaang.

Cavalli shades - the bigger the better... and they'll see you into those crisp September days when the suns bright / disguising a massive freshers hangover...

Bootleg trousers - mmmmm I have seen them around on the highstreet for S/S but pre fall Burberry Prorsum are TO DIE FOR , check it out:

and to finish off my 2011 (for now , small but sweet) fashion need list DON'T THROW YOUR BROGUES OUT - I predict you'll still be needing them ;)
